Founder of Heelium Producers Cooperative
Gina, a single mother of four, lives in the South Cotabato, a region of the Philippines.
Gina spent 18 years abroad as a Migrant Domestic Worker, including 13 years in Hong Kong separated from her children.
In the fall of 2017, Gina returned to her family to found “Heelium Producers Cooperative”. She wants to sell peanut products first in the Philippines under the “Peanut Doodle” brand, then internationally. Her goal is to offer a job to more single-parent women to avoid the isolation from their children as domestic servants abroad and the exploitation of these women in several countries.
